Jaime Burics (She/Her)

Full Moon Psychology is designed to be a place where you can feel safe to be yourself. No part of you is too much, no problem too hard. The goal is to create safety where we can work together on your goals and recovery at your pace.

Jaime Burics has been working as a General Psychologist since 2013, and has worked in many areas of practice. These include:

  • Forensic and high risk presentations,

  • Residential Care, working with youth and overseeing program creation/supervision of staff

  • Acute Care Triage/assessment

  • Private hospital - individual and group work, general presentations then specialising in eating disorders.

She has been in private practice since 2020, and currently works with clients who present with a range of eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder and others. Her typical age range of clients is 15+

Jaime will accept a limited number of general mental health referrals, dependant on client load. She also works with clients who present with risk or suicidality as part of their presentation.

Jaime works from a client-centred model of care and focuses on the individual and how they are experiencing their symptoms rather than the diagnosis. She takes a HAES (Health At Every Size) approach and is happy to be collaborative with all team members that you would like to include in your care. This practice is LGBTQIA+ friendly.

Her treatment approach can be drawn from CBT- E or SSCM dependant on presentation, but also includes Schema Therapy, ACT, CBT, DBT and works with a focus on attachment and being trauma-informed at all times.
